Genaeral Description of Insulating Joint
      Insulated joints in pipelines may be subject to overvoltage failure due to lightning and, in some applications, AC voltage. When a pipeline is near an electric transmission line, it can be subject to significant AC voltage if a phase-to-ground fault occurs. Over-voltage protection against both lightning and AC fault current is possible using appropriately rated products.
Structure of Insulating Joint
      Insulating Joint consist of following part: Short section pipe, Fixed ring, insulating part, sealing part and insulating coating. Between short section pipe there are insulating part and sealing part to form a double sealing structure of insulating property. The fixed ring are beveled for welding or directly welding with the short pipe to form a "sealing space " . This will largely enhance the insulating effect and also the anti-pressure capability.

Insulating Joint has good insulating effect and long life-span. the sealing system is very important for insulating effect. At present, the Monolithic Insulating Joint adopt "U" type sealing ring to achieve double insulating system.
